Very Few people have seen how Gemstones are graded, cut and polished from the rough to the finished product, but the entire process for each stone can be lengthy and requires great skill and precision. We use a precision faceting machine, which is a machine to accurately gauge the facet settings and angles, but the real skill is in the maker. It is when mind, body, and machine are in complete harmony when optimal results will be achieved.

Normally it takes many years of dedication to reach a certain level in faceting but it’s then all about the details. You could spend your entire lifetime perfecting your art and still not be “perfect” or still have things to learn. To take a rough piece of Gemstone, study it, and then map the optimal finished Gemstone inside by eye is a mastery in itself. It is when those decisions are made, the Gem’s destiny is set.
